Find Recycling Centres

Townmead Road Re-use and Recycling Centre

Townmead Rd, Kew, Richmond TW9 4EL, UK – 020 8876 3281

Overall this place is good, but can be very busy a lot of the time. I use it fairly regularly as it's my closest recycling point. I find it is easy to use, with most things clearly signed and when I haven't been able to find the right area, staff working there have been polite and helpful. The site is a big improvement on the muddy dump it was before. The main improvement I would like is a better traffic system that means I can get out once I'm finished, without being blocked by the queue of cars waiting to get in. For those reviewers who complain about the staff tearing open the black bags. This done to ensure the highest amount of waste is recycled, as some users just want to dump and run. And no I'm not related to, or friends with anyone working there.

I both live and work in west London disposing of both commercial and domestic waste at Townmead Road. As such I have extensive experience of commercial waste disposal and, without doubt, Townmead is by far the best of these facilities. The service is quick and the staff are always polite and friendly. It also amazes me that anyone should complain with first world comments such as 'there is a queue'. Get real mate, you don't know how lucky you are!

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.
